Either It Was Made Too Strong Or Drinking It Was Just Wrong!

During a Christmas season, I went to the Sanctuary to give my King a special shout.

After all, He’s the reason for the season and that’s basically what Christmas is about.

On my way home, I thought of continuing with the celebration so I bought a tin of milk, a tin of supligen and a bottle of dragon stout.

As soon as I reached home, I mixed all three items and after chilling the mixture in the freezer for a while, I then took it out.

Due to greed, I drank it off hastily but minutes after watching a movie, I was attacked by a ‘Kock-out’.

Yes, it’s like I was in a fight with alcohol but was defeated because of my mout.

If I had controlled the amount consumed then I would have watched the movie, without a doubt.

I felt exhausted after having too much to drink and to be honest my peep,

It was an early afternoon but the knockout forced me into taking an urgent sleep.

I think I needed it though, as too often I would be up like a Shepherdess watching her sheep.

Later on when I woke up, I was extraordinarily grateful as my boys didn’t have to weep.

Imagine, if one little bottle of dragon forced me into having an early sleep, then what if it were a whole heap?

Hmm! Next time I will know not to drink anymore stout, a promise I must keep.

When I reflected, I wondered if I’d done something wrong,

Or, probably I should have added more water and not having it so strong!

Well, based on Romans 13: 13, we are to behave decently and not to get drunk,

So I was happy with myself as all I did wrong was to sleep on the boys’ bunk.

I am a professional with a poetic voice: to inspire hope and purpose - ‘For I know the plans I have for you’ (Jeremiah 29:11); to motivate action in faith, for ‘Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord’ (Colossians 3:23). Along the way, I add a pinch of laughter, for ‘A cheerful heart is good medicine’ (Proverbs 17:22) and to top it off, I am trusting Proverbs 18:16 that my gift will open doors.
