The Grin that is Laced with Sin!

It’s not every grin that means us well-

Some of them are obvious but others you can’t even tell.

So, if you are in a competition and people grin because yuh win,

Don’t feel too special as some a dem full a evil/sin.

Watch out for those who love to wink!

Before concluding it’s a sign of affection or greeting – just think.

Mi seh, watch dem carefully ah dont even ‘blink’.

Let’s be mindful of those who love to grin and wink at us. It does not necessarily mean that they have our interest at heart.

The type interest some have is probably to pierce a dart in our heart, or to knock us down with a cart.

Now, I do not have the instrument to measure the sincerity of one’s grin, but I shall explain who does:

The Holy Bible, believers’ manual, warns about people who grin at us. To be more specific, it is taken from Proverbs 16: 30 GNT – “Watch out for people who grin and wink at you; they have thought of something evil.”

That is, while dem seemingly beautiful grins a show,

Dem could be thinking of something evil, just so you know.

And as you can see, it’s the Holy Bible that tells us so –

The God-breathed words that put us on our guard and help to make us grow.

I am a professional with a poetic voice: to inspire hope and purpose - ‘For I know the plans I have for you’ (Jeremiah 29:11); to motivate action in faith, for ‘Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord’ (Colossians 3:23). Along the way, I add a pinch of laughter, for ‘A cheerful heart is good medicine’ (Proverbs 17:22) and to top it off, I am trusting Proverbs 18:16 that my gift will open doors.
