Tongue-Shots Can Be Deadly!

James 3:7 speaks of the different animals that mankind has the power to tame,
But it would seem they can’t catch the tongue in their own mouths to exercise the same.
Verse 8 describes the tongue as an evil that is poisonous and restless,
So practically, trying to tame it may just be hopeless.

Proverbs 18:21 says the tongue is so powerful that life and death, good and bad, can emanate from it,
So, mankind has to be aware of these things if they feel it can be tamed – even for a little bit.

With that said,
We should always speak positively about ourselves, even if our world is crumbling and everything seems wrong.
Yes, we need to speak good things into existence, then be patient and strong (Romans 4:17).

Let’s not allow our tongues to close down blessings’ store,
But let’s use them as a key to open blessings’ door (Mark 11:23–24).

Joel 3:10 suggests that we stop saying we are finished, we are stuck, we can’t manage, or we are poor.
Instead, let’s say the opposite – because with life, things will get better for sure (Jeremiah 29:11).

May the words of our mouths and the meditation of our hearts be acceptable in the sight of our Lord, our Rock and Redeemer (Psalm 19:14).

I am a professional with a poetic voice: to inspire hope and purpose - ‘For I know the plans I have for you’ (Jeremiah 29:11); to motivate action in faith, for ‘Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord’ (Colossians 3:23). Along the way, I add a pinch of laughter, for ‘A cheerful heart is good medicine’ (Proverbs 17:22) and to top it off, I am trusting Proverbs 18:16 that my gift will open doors.
