We Need to Read and Take Heed!

Some people are saying that unfavorable events/disasters are taking place at their ‘door’,

While others are panicking as they do not know what’s happening anymore.

But, if they read the words of God in Mathew Chapter 24.

It will enlighten their darkness and that I know for sure.

They will know not to panic but to repent, remembering there’s a God to adore.

God’s desire is for us to repent and taste of His sweet salvation.

It’s not in His plan for us to perish, so before He carries out any destruction,

He always sends out a warning or an instruction.

And, it pleases him when we listen, take heed and make a wise decision.

Noah was told to warn of a flood and to build an ark: God gave him an instruction!

Unfortunately, the people perished as they were a stubborn generation,

Who had no respect for the God of creation.

Jonah was sent to preach to the city of Nineveh – they repented, and God spared them from destruction.

Repentance is key, and God provides these words of encouragement for free:

A. Acts 3:19 “Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out …”

B. 2 Peter 3:9 “The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance.”

C. 2 Chronicles 7:14. “If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves, and pray and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”

I am a professional with a poetic voice: to inspire hope and purpose - ‘For I know the plans I have for you’ (Jeremiah 29:11); to motivate action in faith, for ‘Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord’ (Colossians 3:23). Along the way, I add a pinch of laughter, for ‘A cheerful heart is good medicine’ (Proverbs 17:22) and to top it off, I am trusting Proverbs 18:16 that my gift will open doors.
